This facility is available throughout the year at the official cashiers’ offices on the Durban campuses and during registration periods in the Midlands campus. If a student wishes to utilize a parent’s credit card, please attach a signed letter authorising usage thereof. Original I.D. of cardholder must also accompany the authorised letter.

At DUT
This method of payment will be accepted at any official University’s cashier’s office, an official DUT receipt will be issued. -
Company Sponsored
Letters of authority and bursaries will be accepted only from pre-approved companies. A letter of authority applies only where fees are paid by a student’s employer. Similar letters must be produced in the case of bursaries or loans.
In the event of an employer or bursar not paying, the student will be held liable for fees and penalties as the official contract (registration form) is between the Durban University of Technology and the student.
Employers should supply each student with a separate letter of authority. The University does not involve itself in disputes between the employer and the employee. Accounts are sent to both students and employer/donors. Payments by employers/donors should include detail list of the distribution of the total payment.
